Burgo, Norman Patrick, 77, of Cambridge, MA passed away on May 13, 2019 peacefully as he slept. He was born at Boston City Hospital on March 17, 1942 to Joseph A. Burgo and Mary P.(Pina)Burgo.
Norman attended Sherwin Elementary School and Boston Trade High School. He was a fantastic track runner and if you walked with him, it was hard to keep up with his long, quick strides. He went on to become the head supervisor for Bradlee's Warehouse in Braintree, MA and retired from there.
Norman was a kind soul who lived his life through his family and was always there for the family. If you needed help with anything, Norman was there to ease your anxiety and help you in any way he could. He wanted to see you happy and that made him happy.
Other things that made Norman happy were bingo, Sci-Fi movies, going out to restaurants, Hershey bars and his first love Munchup. There was also a time he wanted to impress a new date and make her happy by going skiing with her, although he had never been skiing in his life. He went to the highest slope with her and saw her glide down on her skis with ease and figured it was easy and followed her...He proceeded to roll rather than ski down the entire slope with one ski (the other one got lost within the first 10 seconds of the run). That was his last date for a long time until his body healed. He made us laugh with all his mishaps and could always laugh at himself.
Everyone who came to know and love Norman will miss him sincerely. He will always be in our hearts and minds forever. We know he is happy now because he is with all of our family members that have passed on before him. They have prepared a place for him, welcomed him with open arms and right now they are all watching us, smiling and calming our souls.
He leaves to mourn his two children William Delaney and his wife Diana and Lisa Delaney, his grandchildren Athena Delaney, Ares Delaney, Jamila Delaney, Jared Delaney, Darnell Delaney, his sister Lorraine Cox and her husband Robert Cox, Sr., his nieces and nephews Tahira Cox, Robert Cox, Jr., great nieces and nephews Katrina Pierre, Daren Alicudo, Robert Alicudo, Linda Alicudo, Lee Alicudo, Marcelino Robinson, April Alicudo, Amanda Alicudo, Darin Alicudo, Jr. (DJ) great great niece Janiyah Robinson and a huge host of cousins and friends.
