Phyllis is preceded in death by her son Charles and husband Charles, her parents Sophie and Vincent Dragun, her brother John Dragun, sisters Helen Biergiel, Julia DiGiovanni, and Lillian Morrow.

Phyllis was born on May 20, 1931 at her home in East Cambridge, MA. She graduated from Cambridge High and Latin School, the Mount Auburn Nursing School and was a registered nurse for over 50 years. Phyllis met her husband Charlie, an Army officer, at the Polish American Veterans Club. Phyllis and Charlie raised their six children in her childhood home.

A devout Catholic who enjoyed daily Mass on TV in her later years, she found comfort in prayer and would often say “Do the best you can and leave the rest to God”. She was an avid reader whose favorite book was the Book of Psalms. She was happiest whenever her family was together, especially at Lake Winnipesaukee, NH. Her love touched many beyond her family including her many friends, devoted caregivers, neighbors and animals. She was a big fan of the Boston Red Sox. She inspired many with her inner strength, compassion and honest guidance. Her greatest virtue was to find and give peace to all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in memory of Phyllis to Catholic TV www.catholictv.org or the Jimmy Fund www.jimmyfund.org.
